The 2016 Stramit NSW Surf Life Saving Country Championships is one of the biggest events on the surf sports calendar. The 2 day carnival attracts clubs outside of the Newcastle to Illawarra corridor and saw over 4000 people flocking to the beautiful South West Rocks. With 1500 competitors, hundreds of volunteers and a large contingency of families and supporters the carnival was an extraordinary success. The event showcases some of the State's best surf sport athletes and amongst them were the Caba Crew Champions. All our athletes put in strong performances from our Under 8”s through to our Masters achieving many great results. Cabarita Beach placed 15th overall out of the 49 clubs and I would like to congratulate you all. Thank you to Carnival Team Manager Kerri and to the Age Managers and Club Officials for your time over the weekend. Highlights: U8 Flags - 5th Tex Milroy.
