Weekly Wrap 9th November 2013

posted 7 Nov 2013, 22:53 by Admin at CabaSLSC

Hey Everyone,

Hope you are all having a great week, I was up nice and early this morning and down the beach for a beautiful sunrise, the wind had dropped so fingers crossed it stays like this for the weekend.

Patrolling Members its that time of the year that we all love, yes Proficiency this Saturday Morning, 8.30am start and it is both wet and dry, so bring your brains and your swimmers, and if you have no brains, just cheat like I do.  Just kidding.

Water Safety required for Thursday 21st November for the Catholic High School Surf Lifesaving Competition, if you can help out, please put your name on the black board downstairs or let Tim Whitney know.  This event is being held here at Caba.

Welcome home to our intrepid travellers Patrick and Anita, whilst we have all thoroughly enjoyed following their adventures over the past couple of months, it is nice to have them back.  A little birdy told me that one of them is celebrating the half century in the next few days, so if you see him (yes Pat) around the Club, you might want to shout him a ginger beer.

Don’t forget the Bar is open all weekend from Noon, meals available.

Hi guys,

What a great weekend, the beach was the place to cool off, it was a warm one.

Congratulations to those who competed at Salt carnival on the weekend.  There were alot of PB’s( Personal Best) being accomplished by our nippers.  We again won gold from our  new March Past team.  Well done guys.  Congratulations to our medal winners and top 10 place getters.  It’s all about having a go and everyone accomplished this on the weekend.  Thanks to Age Managers, Officials, Water Safety, Parents who pitched in and  helped  cheer on the club. Awesome effort.

Congratulations to Finn Whitney and Claudia Crawford who have been selected by branch in their age groups  to represent the FNC Team in Sydney in December.

Carnival Board training has started for those competitors who are doing carnivals this season.

This is on Friday afternoons at 4.30pm for Carnival competitors 9-14’s.  Contact Les Carnival Manager for more information.

Chocolate money needs to be returned, please put in an envelope provided with the name, age group that was written on the register when picking up chocolates. If you have not sold a box yet, or can sell another please drop in the office and pick one up.

Nippers will be run at Caba this Sunday (10 November 2013) from 8.45am for roll call on the grassed area.  See you on the sand.
