Weekly Wrap 9th March 2012

posted 8 Mar 2012, 22:24 by Admin at CabaSLSC
To all my fans! (just kidding)

Thank you for all your positive feedback regarding the Weekly Wrap each Week, I am so glad you are  all enjoying our weekly tidbits and goss.   i couldn’t do it without  all those who provide me with the info and the Members for being so good natured and taking it all tongue in cheek.

Congratulations to all our Junior Members who competed at State Champs last weekend, we had lots of fantastic results and personal best achievements.  We are glad to see Jack (Chopper) Jones is on the mend after a lot of stitches to his ear after being hit with a board, apparently his head is not as hard as his Fathers.  We also would like to wish the Seniors the best of luck during competition this weekend.    We have already had some feedback with how they are going, young  Liam Patience had his first event this morning being the Board Paddle, he was that enthusiastic that he forgot to take his board and somehow managed to miss his race entirely, we personally believe it was just a scare tactic and he is actually saving himself for the swim tomorrow.

Missing since the start of the season, Jaime Sommerville’s Patrol Uniform.    Unless you knew better we would not know that Jaime is a Patrolling Member other than the fact that her Patrol Captain Jodie manages to tie her down every now and then and whack a Patrol Cap on her head.  Judging by her tan lines she also needs to be pointed in the direction of some sun screen every now and then.  Slip slop slap Jaime!   If she doesn’t  want to slap herself, I give her Patrol and any others full permission.

Congratulations to Kyle Beattie for managing to stay out of the Wrap this week, it pays to stay out of my office on a Friday!

Lastly, thank you to our esteemed President for teaching me a hard lesson in learning to log out of my Facebook, my husband is checking the mail everyday in anticipation of my so-called hot little number.   I will let you break the news to him.

LATE MAIL,  LATE MAIL - Word just in our Lifesaving Director Brett Draman has just one upped from last year and won  Silver in the 2 k run.  Go brettles!

LATE LATE MAIL - Gym Captain owes Ski Captain $5.00 in Species identification bet at State!  She said it was a female gibbon when it was actually a male gorilla!  Nice work Suzie!
