Weekly Wrap 31st August 2012

posted 2 Sep 2012, 19:17 by Admin at CabaSLSC
Hey Everyone,

Thank you to everyone that showed up and helped out at Open Day last Sunday, we signed on some new Bronzies  so can view this as being a successful day.  Now for the fun of corrupting them. I kid!

Patrolling Members, you need to get your butts down here and Sign On!  Kyle is currently in the process of doing the Rosters for the upcoming season and he needs to know who is returning and preferences for Patrols.  If you don’t let him know, you may just luck out and get stuck with  Fletcher or even worse,  hmmmmmm, no there isn’t really any worse is there?  Remember also that Patrolling Members get Lockers for only $5.00 for the season and there are not many left!

Speaking of Fletch, we should pass on congratulations to him and Jaime who both passed the mission last week to gain their Gold Medallion!  We also appreciate Fletchers humility in admitting that Jaime did actually beat him across the line!  We are sure that not only Jaime, but all the other girls in the Club will remind him of this consistently over the coming Season.

Welcome back to our Bar Captain Shaun who is recovering from knee surgery last week!  My request for the Doctor to add a little height to his legs was ignored,  so I guess he will just have to keep using his little stool to reach that top shelf in the bar.

Lifesaving

Save the Date!! Lifesaving Meeting and ATV Induction 9th September starting at 1PM. All Basic Beach Management holders (even if you aren’t a PC) and IRB Drivers required to attend. Anyone is welcome to come down, find out what’s new this season and have an input. There will be a free BBQ for any patrolling members who attend. Any questions or suggestions, email lifesaving@cabaslsc.org.au

Nipper Wrap

Well the Banana Festival parade was a success, everyone was  showing their appreciation for  what we do on the beach, wanting information on the surf club and the donation  tins were  getting quite heavy towards the end.   Thanks for everyone who turned out with big smiles on their faces to march in the parade.  I’m sure you were glad it was a walk not a sprint lol  . It was fun and a great success.
