Weekly Wrap 30th June 2012

posted 2 Jul 2012, 17:40 by Admin at CabaSLSC
Hey Everyone,

Firstly my apologies for no Wrap last week, I have been lucky enough after 5 years of whinging to finally have my office redone and was mid move come Friday Afternoon.  I am pleased to say that it is finally done, along with a fresh coat of paint.  Thank you so much to the Maidments for donating their time last weekend and seeing to this and also Tweed Gold Coast Carpet Care for a free clean of the office carpet.   I now just have to train our little Bar Captain on keeping it neat and tidy, wish me well.

With our AGM being held on Sunday 17th June, we have a full Board of Directors to carry us forth into hopefully another successful year.  We would like to welcome the new Members to the Board and of course welcome back the returning Members.  The next Board meeting will  be on Tuesday 17th July at 7.00pm. All members are welcome to attend. Any items of business that you wish to raise must be lodged with the Secretary 14 days before the meeting.

For those that are after a copy of the Senior Preso Night DVD, Shaun now has copies behind the Bar available for $5.00, thanks again to Charlie for making such an entertaining insight into our Lifesavers and what we do.  If anyone hasn’t seen it yet, I highly recommend you get your hands on a copy.

Remember the State or Origin decider is on Wednesday Night, we will be running our BBQ again with $10.00 rumps.  So don  your blue and maroon (if you really have to) and come up and cheer the blues on to a victory.

We are celebrating a couple of Patrolling Members Birthdays this weekend, with Kate Perlenfein reaching the quarter century and David Sommerville turning all the fours (droopy drawers).  So if you see them down the Club, make sure you pass on your best wishes, we hear Dave is pretty generous around Birthday time, he might even shout you one.  Well he will pretend to and run up a Tab, then leave me to pay it as I often discover come banking days.

Lifesaving
