Weekly Wrap 30th April 2014

posted 29 Apr 2014, 21:39 by Admin at CabaSLSC

Hey Everyone,

I hope everyone had a lovely break over Easter and the Anzac Day Long Weekend.  What an amazing two weeks of sunshine and surf we had, it really makes you appreciate how fortunate we are to live in this area.

A massive thank you to Liam Patience for running our inaugural Two Up on Anzac Day here at the Club, he did a fantastic job, who knew Liam was so good on the mic?  I will definitely be lining him up with some other gigs in the future.  Bit of karaoke, charity auction maybe?

Last Sunday seen our last Patrols by our Volunteers for the Season, a huge thank you to everyone that showed up every week and gave up their time to ensure that we provided a safe place for the community and visitors to swim and enjoy.  For those of you who would like to join our awesome volunteers next season, there will be a Bronze information night this Thursday at 6pm, all welcome!

Patrolling Members/Active Helpers please try and make my life easy this year and RSVP by the 3rd May for Preso Night, I need to give caterers final numbers and as they do us such a great deal, do not want to mess them around.  Happy Kerri is much easier to deal with than cranky Kerri, so take two mins to email please.  If you cant get down to pay this weekend we can work that out next week.  Snr Preso is always a great night to let your hair down (if you have any)  and enjoy each others company and share stories of the past season.

Finally I would like to congratulate two of our Patrolling Members who both recently got married, and yes, to each other, Elke Raftery and Robert Readman, a big congratulations from all of us here at the Surf Club, we look forward to seeing your romantic bliss on the sand over the off season.
