Weekly Wrap 23rd March 2012

posted 29 Mar 2012, 14:43 by Admin at CabaSLSC

Hey Everyone,

What a wet week it has been, but I can happily  report that the sun is currently out in Caba and looks like it might do so for at least the next couple of hours.   So get down here and make the most of it.

Presentation Night invites are now being distributed, if you haven’t received yours yet, please come visit us as they are a little difficult to post.  There has been a lot of buzz around the Club as to who is planning on wearing what and I am pretty keen to see what everyone comes up with.  The way that our Club embraces any chance to get dressed up or down amazes me.

Missing in action, one Nicholas Jenkins, last seen hooning around a Go Kart track somewhere south of here, if anyone sees him, please remind him that Patrols are not yet over and Patrol 5 is missing his witty yet sometimes disturbing charm.   Speaking of hooning, it seems that poor little Fletcher Budd is having a sook and refusing to use the new motor as it is currently restricted to half throttle.  Little does poor Fletch know that there has been a secret ballot in the boat shed and the verdict is that all motors that Fletcher drives need to be reduced to half throttle for the genuine safety of his crew, the public and tourists!  Just ask John Jones!

Whilst on Patrol last weekend in the wind and rain, our oldest and dearest Patrolling Member Keith Wilson was demonstrating his dancing skills, particularly how deft he is at the chicken dance, it was a sight and if you are all lucky enough he may do an encore performance at the Presentation Night, just shout him a beer and I am sure he will oblige.

Kyle Beattie smells like petunias!  Sorry Kyle, you gave me nothing!
