Weekly Wrap 17th June 2012

posted 21 Jun 2012, 22:26 by Admin at CabaSLSC
Hey Everyone,

A huge thank you for everyone who came down and helped out with Greenback last weekend, whilst it was very cold and wet, the club spirit was well alive and it was lots of fun.  Thank you also to the Cabarita Beach/ Pottsville Beach Lions Club  and the Tweed Coast Rescue for their efforts in making this a successful event.  We would also like to make a special mention to our youngest volunteer on the day, Jack Jones (Under 13’s)  who was here before sun up and one of the last to leave in the afternoon, we can see Jack taking on a future leadership role within  the Club over the coming years, he should be very proud of himself.  Overall whilst the numbers of competitors have dropped from previous years, it still was not a bad turn out considering the weather conditions.

Remember our Lifesaving Annual Meeting is this Sunday at 10.00am then followed by the Surf Club Annual General Meeting at 11.00am.  I have attached a copy of the Agenda for the AGM.

There is a Level 1 Coaching Course being held in Byron Bay on 30th June to 1st July 2012.  If you want to do this, you need to let me know as this Course Closes on 22nd June, at moment there is only two places filled and they need at least 10 to run this course.

Our Bar Captain and his lovely wife are off on a well deserved holiday on Monday to the land of the long white cloud, we hope that they  have a great time and enjoy their "naughty week away".  I have heard whispers of some planned “gatherings” at their abode whilst they are away, but I am sure their charming teenage sons would never think of doing something like that, well maybe Hayden and Nathan wouldn’t, not so sure about the other two.   Whilst Shaun is away, we have our gorgeous Kate Perlenfein filling in, now Kate is a pretty hot number so Shaun may need to clean up his act a little bit when he gets back, I can picture him now in a nice short skirt and pretty little blouse, his son Hayden pulled it off pretty well at the Senior Preso Night, so he must get it from somewhere!

Lifesaving

Bronze and SRC Course has just begun, but  it is not too late to sign up.  Please  email any questions or your interest to Jo Howes training@cabaslsc.org.au   Any Juniors who are now 13 can complete their SRC in this Course instead of waiting for the Nipper season to begin.
