Weekly Wrap 15th March 2013

posted 18 Mar 2013, 19:51 by Admin at CabaSLSC
Hey Everyone,

Finally, we have some sunshine, heres hoping it hangs around for a while!  The Surf Club will be running its Friday Arvo BBQ this afternoon, so if you want to come and feed the family and help raise money for the Club, come on down.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our family fun day at Wet N Wild.  We all had a fantastic time, I actually think that the parents had just as much fun as the kids.  Whilst the Wet N Wild Fun Day  normally marks the end of the season for the Juniors, remember our Volunteer Lifesavers are still on the beach right up until the end of April and with the ocean also being a bit wet and wild at the moment, remember to always check with them before entering the water.

Congratulations to Members Georgina Doyle and Jaime Sommerville who have both been selected by Branch to  attend the Surf Lifesaving NSW Youth Makers Workshop in Sydney next month!

Nipper News

Thank you to everyone for such a great season.  It was a shame that the weather meant that the back end was a little hit and miss.  Welcome back to all the Helpers, Committee Members, Age Managers etc who put their hand up at our Annual Meeting last week to again volunteer next season.  Welcome also to our new Volunteers.   There is always some way everyone can help out, so if you are interested, please let us know. Many hands make light work.   Congratulations to all our Nippers on a great season and we look forward to seeing you all back next year.

There will be a Meeting in the upcoming weeks to start preparation for next season.  You will be notified of dates and times.

Big thankyou to our newest patrolling member Ian Hamilton. Just four days after signing on he arrived in uniform and patrolled Sunday afternoon, whilst much of the club was “patrolling” Wet n Wild!! We were a little short on subs and he saved me from having to bring my laptop down to the beach and do two Law assignments in the sand. Much appreciated Ian!!

Patrol Service Agreements are up for renewal. This means we have to agree with Surf Life Saving New South Wales, Council and Branch where and when we patrol must patrol. If you would like to have an input please send any suggestions or requests to
