Weekly Wrap 13th April 2012

posted 12 Apr 2012, 21:10 by Admin at CabaSLSC
Hey Everyone,

I guess I spoke too soon last week about the weather, the temperature has definitely dropped, the water is still warm though so make the most of it.

Easter saw  us with a pretty uneventful weekend on the beach, no upturned boats, no Dramans requiring an Ambulance and no rumours of romance.  There has been a lot of talk though of the upcoming Patrol Champs next weekend with  ambush and nefarious deeds on everyone’s lips.  It could prove to be a very interesting afternoon of friend and foe fighting it out for bragging rights. Just bragging rights, no pot of gold at the end of the beach, the budget wouldn’t stretch... unlike the boaties waistlines.

We would like to apologise to the residents of Yamba. You are about to be invaded by a group of Cabaritian Surf Club Members ranging from 16 to 21 this weekend for a development Camp.  Whilst some of them will appear quite scary looking, we do assure you that if you approach them slowly and calmly they will not bite, most of them anyway.  Anyone that befriends one of them, please feel free to keep, we will forward all necessary paperwork.  Hehe.  Seriously though, these Lifesaving Camps are a wonderful experience for our Members and we encourage everyone to attend these Camps.  The past has proven how these Camps  mould them into fantastic young Lifesavers, just take a look at any of the Draman boys, well maybe not Brett, he is a special class of Lifesaver.

Our Bar Captain is sporting a new haircut so you may now confuse him with the President, unlike the President though his haircut has not effected his dress sense.

Adam Andrewarthur (yes he has three first names) has has now introduced a new rule.  A beverage of an alcoholic nature  must be consumed with the ever famous Locals Breakfast, apparently it helps wash down the hash browns.

Just remember Presentation Night tickets are available from the Bar or Office, don’t miss out.  Plans are in full swing and it is going to be a fantastic night.
