Welcome to Cabarita Beach SLSC
Welcome to Cabarita Beach surf club. You can see from the picture at the left that the new surf club looks great. Members of the club can take advantage of all the great facilities. New members are always welcome at Cabarita. Visit the membership information at the left of the page and we will look forward to seeing you.
You will be aware that the surf club has been working towards building a deck on the eastern side of the club for some time.
Our DA was lodged at council late last year and was finally presented to councillors recently. The DA was passed, HOWEVER, the conditions of the DA state that the surf club must pay normal developer section94 contributions along with associated head works charges.
This was decided even though our president Des Anderson spoke to the full council before the decision was made requesting a waiving of these fees. The text of Des's presentation is available on the surf club website here.
This means that for us to proceed with construction we must raise an amount of over $140,000.
