Why be a Surf Life Saver?

Surf  lifesaving  is  part of the history, fabric and make-up of Coastal culture, representing the lifestyle, beliefs and values of Australia. It protects life, saves lives and promotes life. Some benefits of being a Surf Life Saver include;

• A healthy lifestyle
• A sense of pride
• A sense of responsibility and purpose
• Positive social relationships within the local and broader community

What are patrols?

Patrols are groups of members who hold a Life Saving award or are training to get an award.  Patrols usually consist of 5 - 8 members and are rostered to weekeend patrols (and public holidays) that vary from 4 to 6 hours. The patrolling season generally runs from September - April.

There is a place for everyone in the Surf Lifesaving movement.

If you feel you are unable to perform the duties of an active Surf Lifesaver, we are always looking for people to help the Club in other areas such as; administration, communications and fundraising, just to name a few.

If you would like to join as a patrolling member contact lifesaving@cabaslsc.org.au
